It’s time for me to share with you my thoughts on Kaine Kombu Toner & Ampoule that I’ve been using already for a month. As you can see in the picture above – I’m nearly done with ampoule!
If I was about to sum up my experience with this duo in one sentence: softest skin ever & redness relief!
My Experience With Kaine Kombu Balancing Ampoule Toner
Kaine Kombu toner is my 2nd favorite toner – it’s so hydrating and soothing. My skin just drinks it and it really helps to calm any irritation.
Regarding the texture – it’s somewhat between watery and viscous. As you may already know I’m not a fan of watery toners.
I love how hydrated my skin feels and looks after applying this toner. Absorbs super fast and doesn’t leave any sticky feeling.
My Experience With Kaine Kombu Barrier Ampoule
Kaine Kombu ampoule – in my opinion the real highlight of this duo! It won my whole heart from day one and it became my favorite treatment (and you know how much I love that beta-glucan serum so it wasn’t an easy competition…).
I can’t express how soothing and moisturizing this ampoule it, and how incredibly SOFT my skin feels afterwards.
The texture is viscous and feels kinda creamy when I’m spreading it. It does take some time to absorb fully and in the meantime it feels a bit tacky but I don’t mind that (especially in PM routine) because it makes my skin silky soft and it’s all worth it.
Final Verdict
The best part about this duo is how it calms down my reactive skin.
Before I started using it I had mild irritation on my cheeks (a bit of redness, a few red bumps), most likely from a different product that didn’t suit my skin, plus some damaged skin barrier on my chin (from breakouts and picking on pimples).
This toner and ampoule literally felt like a RELIEF to my skin and after using them twice all irritation and redness was completely gone.
I was so IMPRESSED to see how quickly this duo visibly improved my skin barrier!
Now my skin tone looks more even, and the skin feels nourished and supple.
Altogether my rating of this duo is ∞/10. I already have a second bottle of the toner and I’m definitely gonna repurchase the ampoule (probably will order a few bottles so I never run out of it).
Kombu duo is now my go-to savior for damaged skin barrier & thirsty skin.
I think it’s perfect for normal, dry, dehydrated and sensitive skin.

Textures
The toner has a bit of viscosity in it, but it doesn’t feel sticky at all.
The ampoule is on the thicker and viscous side, just how I like all my serums and treatments!
It glides so smoothly on the skin. It takes a moment to sink it completely, but once it’s fully absorbed there’s no shiny, tacky or greasy finish.
I encourage you to check out the video that I posted on my IG where I present textures of both the toner and the ampoule.
*I received this duo as a gift from Kaine, but opinions are based on my personal experience.
