Kaine newest launch has literally just dropped: jelly oil cleanser and gentle foam cleaner.
I had a privilege to test out this cleansing duo in the past two weeks and I’m ready to share with you my first impression review!

Kaine Kombu Jelly Oil Cleanser Review
It is completely different than all the other oil-based makeup removing cleansers I’ve tried so far.
Texture:
Its texture is jelly and creamy at the same time! It is so much thicker than all the liquid oil cleansers.
How to use it:
Just like with other makeup removers, you need to massage it on your skin. Next, add small amount of water to emulsify it. You will see how the jelly turns into milk and melts your makeup!
My experience with Kaine Kombu Jelly Oil Cleanser:
Speaking from my experience, it deals with long-lasting lip tints effortlessly, removing waterproof mascara takes a bit more time.
Sometimes it stings my eyes but just a little bit (especially when I use too much of the jelly).
Ingredients & things to keep in mind:
I love the fact that it doesn’t contain alcohol or fragrance so I don’t have to worry about irritation or drying effect.
It’s packed with kombucha and panthenol that are a real treat for skin barrier, plus Cica, sunflower and jojoba oils and Ceramide NP.
❗️However, there’s one thing that is frankly a bit heartbreaking for me: it contains Ethylxehyl Palmitate as the first ingredient.
Sadly, my skin often reacts to this baddie with clogged pores and breakouts (but thankfully so far nothing like this happened).
Now, I know everyone’s skin is different and especially if your skin is not prone to acne, you may be fine with it.
By the way, did you know that this ingredients is in 90% of oil cleansers?!
I’m just letting you know in case you’re sensitive to it as well. I’m gonna be careful and use this cleanser only once or twice a week (also because of its exfoliating properties due to AHA in it)!
It is best for:
I’d recommend it for dry, normal and oily skin!
PRO TIP: If your pores are prone to clogging and your skin easily breaks out – check out my list of the best & safest Korean cleansing oils. I picked only those that have simple ingredients and are less likely to trigger breakouts!
Kaine Kombu Hydrating Gentle Foam Cleanser Review
This is the second cleanser. It has beautiful jelly texture with those tiny green tea flakes particles inside. But don’t worry, they are not harsh! Literally, you can’t feel them on the skin. But they are doing their job at gently removing dead skin cells.
My experience:
For me this cleanser is the highlight of this duo.
It also contains exfoliating acids (AHA), but feels very gentle on my sensitive skin – never caused any irritation or redness!
After washing, my face feels refreshed and very well cleansed. It never feels tight or overdried from this cleanser, and there’s no striping!
Actually, my skin feels quite hydrated and plump.
Overall I’m super pleased with this gentle cleanser and how well it works for my dry/sensitive skin. Frankly, I think it’s a good option for any skin type!
How to use it:
Apply it on wet face, massage it and then rinse well.
By the way, it lathers super well. You only need a small drop of it, otherwise you’ll end up with tons of foam that takes some time to rinse off (my mistake when using it for the first time).
Ingredients highlight:
This foam cleanser feels very gentle and hydrating for the skin thanks to ingredients like panthenol, hyaluronic acid, allantoin, Ceramide NP and my skin’s favorite – kombucha!
Before You Get Kaine Cleansing Duo…
One more thing to keep in mind my Beauties: Even if the % of AHA in these cleansers is small, I prefer to use them only every few days, because the skin doesn’t need exfoliation every day!
