Did you know that you should never skip sunscreen, whether it’s sunny, cloudy… or rainy?!
Let me introduce you to my invisible friend that is always by my side!
I was over the moon when I finally got my hands on the Haruharu Bamboo sun stick! I’m so in love with Haruharu mineral SPF and couldn’t wait to try out their other sunscreens too.
Will you be surprised if I say that Haruharu Bamboo quickly became my favorite sun stick?!

My Experience With Haruharu Wonder Bamboo Sunstick
Yes, yes I’m Haruharu die hard fan but honestly this sunstick is perfection for my skin.
Let me tell you why I like it so much:
1. It doesn’t contain alcohol
This means it doesn’t dry out my skin.
2. It doesn’t sting AT ALL
In contrast to some other sun sticks I tried, Haruharu doesn’t cause any stinging. I can safely apply it around lips and on eye lids and there’s no stinging or burning
3. No added fragrance
It’s so important for my sensitive skin, because it means lower risk that my skin would freak out (I never experienced any irritation from it!).
4. It doesn’t have that yuck chemical smell like many other sunsticks
It has a very gentle scent, a bit like… coconut?🤔
5. It feels hydrating
Once applied it feels creamy, then sinks in within few minutes, and leaves my skin feeling soft.
6. Truly invisible
ZERO white cast is one thing, but literally you wouldn’t be able to tell that I’m wearing it! It has semi matte finish which I love, so my face doesn’t look too shiny or oily even when I’m sweating.
7. It has gentle cooling effect
It feels so nice right now during hot days.
8. It feels super lightweight on my skin
Once it’s absorbed, I don’t even notice I have „extra layer”.
9. It doesn’t break me out!
Compared to many other chemical sunsticks, this one has quite nice ingredients list, doesn’t contain for example ethylhexyl palmitate that usually leads to clogged pores in my case!
Thing I Don’t Like About Haruharu Bamboo Sun Shield
The only tiny thing I could complain about its shape. I wish it had one end narrower for easier application under eyes and around my nose piercing.
But frankly, this is a small complaint!
I already have 2 more Haruharu sunsticks in my stash! 🙂
Things You Need To Know Before Getting Haruharu Sun Stick
I know there are some questions around this Haruharu sunscreen, so let’s get on with that!
Is Haruharu sunstick a chemical or mineral sunscreen?
This Bamboo sunstick from Haruharu is a chemical sunscreen. It uses new technology UV filters, that are better than those used in Western sunscreens.
Is Haruharu sunstick good for oily skin?
Just like many other sunsticks, this one takes some time to absorb, and before that it may feel like you have extra creamy layer on top of your skin.
It doesn’t look oily but you can definitely feel it. Once it’s absorbed, it has semi-matte look which is nice especially for oily skin.
But I know some people with oily skin type may not like how long it take for this sunscreen to sink in (but I think it’s a common thing for sunsticks).
Don’t forget to check out my video on Instagram to see how this sunstick glides on the skin and it looks on the skin!
